MANAGING DIRECTOR & CEO
Our client is amongst the most reputed oil & gas mid-stream corporation, listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange, presently operating a well-established refinery. It is seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to serve as its Managing Director & CEO, an exceptional leader to drive its strategic growth and elevate its role within Pakistan’s refining sector.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of successfully leading a company or a major division of a large corporation, with exceptional experience in managing both the business and technical dimensions of oil & gas, petrochemicals or chemicals processing related organizations.
Responsibilities, Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Ability to work with the Board for shaping the Company’s long-term vision, develop & execute effective business strategies, ensuring operational excellence. Should have strong market insight, investment acumen, and leadership experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams to drive growth and profitability.
- Lead refinery operations and the refinery upgrade and expansion projects aligned with strategic goals & insights. Optimize performance, ensure product quality, control operational costs and drive continuous improvement by identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions. Ability to ensure timely and successful completion of expansion and upgrade projects.
- Should have knowledge & understanding of global oil & gas supply dynamics and their effect on pricing of the inputs.
- Should have effectively managed P&L and operational responsibilities as a Business Unit Head / COO / CEO. Should preferably have experience of large-scale projects and have participated in their investment decisions and implementation.
- Should have understanding of the regulatory, commercial, political scenarios and HSE requirements in which the company operates.
- Should have a minimum Graduate degree preferably in relevant technical subjects, and / or Business Management / Financial qualifications.
- Should have at least Twenty (20) years of experience in technical and business management & operations, of which minimum Ten (10) years should be in one level below the CEO. Senior executives from sectors other than oil & gas will also be considered.
- Maximum age limit: 60 years (can be relaxed in case of very strong experience and leadership competencies)
The position would be on a extendable Three (3) year contract, as per statutory requirements. Comprehensive compensation and benefits package aligned with market standards. Candidates are welcome to mention their expected salary.
