Career Opportunity: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO)
Company:ย A public sector entity under the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan.
Mandate: To plan, explore, evaluate, extract, produce, develop, and market minerals, metals, and ores.
Job Description:
The CEO/MD will be responsible for leading the organization, driving its growth, and executing its strategic mandate in the minerals and metals sector.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Educational Credentials:
- A graduate degree is required. A postgraduate or Master’s degree is preferred.
- Fields of Study:ย Engineering, Economics, Earth Sciences, Law, Finance, Accountancy, or Business Administration.
- The degree must be from an HEC-recognized local institution or a reputable foreign university.
2. Professional Experience:
- Minimum 15 yearsย of post-qualification professional experience.
- At leastย 5 yearsย must be in aย leadership role.
- Relevant sectoral experienceย (local or international) in minerals, metals, mining, or a closely related field isย required.
- Preferred:ย Familiarity with the operating environment inย Balochistan.
3. Age Criteria:
- Not exceedingย 57 yearsย as of the date of application.
Additional Important Information:
- Location:ย The role is based inย Quetta and Islamabad.
- Term:ย The appointment will be for a term ofย three (03) years.
- Appointment Process:ย Will be made in accordance with theย State-Owned Enterprises (Governance & Operations) Act, 2023ย and other relevant laws, including the “Fit and Proper Criteria.”
