Key Responsibilities

The Provost will be responsible for several high-level strategic areas, including:

• Research & Funding: Strengthening the research ecosystem, enhancing scholarly productivity, and expanding external funding.

• Global Engagement: Advancing internationalization, global academic partnerships, and cross-border mobility for faculty and students.

• Corporate & Alumni Relations: Cultivating industry linkages to enhance employability and promoting meaningful alumni engagement.

• Academic Innovation: Providing strategic direction to the Teaching & Learning Centre and the Centre for Educational Innovation, with a focus on AI-enabled educational innovation.

• Institutional Effectiveness: Using data-driven decision-making to improve student learning, retention, and overall academic experience.

The Ideal Candidate

UMT is seeking an accomplished academic leader who meets the following criteria:

• Experience: A distinguished record of leadership in roles such as Dean, Provost, Vice Chancellor, or equivalent.
