CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

We are currently seeking dynamic and result-oriented professional to join the management cadre for one of our prestigious clients Ms. State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.

The position is offered on a Three (03) years contract, extendable upon satisfactory performance. Successful candidate will be based in Karachi, working in a high-impact environment that values performance, integrity and innovation.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage the IT division portfolio of the organization by developing and implementing effective IT strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and drive future technology agenda for the SLIC in alignment with Digital Financial Services as a high priority, aligning IT activities with the organization’s overall strategic goals. This role plays a key part in optimizing portfolio performance and supporting long-term IT growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement and maintain core ERP solution and manage IT resources of the organization for maintaining competitive advantage in the Insurance Industry.
• Candidate having Project Management Certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 or possessing practical experience to manage data centers, IT solutions and other technology resources will be preferred.
• Provide transformational leadership and senior level advocacy for delivery and implementation of technology solutions – both IT and Digital – that support organization’s current and future business needs.
• Develop and implement IT Strategy of the organization and foster a culture of innovation and change.
• Consistently evaluate business performance and carry out BPR/BPI for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the core IT solutions for enterprise implementation.
• Identify competitive advantages and technology trends and make recommendations for benefit of the Corporation.

EDUCATION

• Minimum 16 years education having completed BE/BCS/MSc. With post graduate achievements in Computer Science/Information Technology, preferably with Masters in Information Science or Business from reputable university recognized by HEC/PEC.

EXPERIENCE

• Overall 20-years’ in the field of Technology and or Management.
• Preference shall be given to the candidates possessing experience in the design and successful implementation of major ERP or Core Insurance or similar back bone solutions at Enterprise level.
• Experience of five (05) years in the management and leadership role such as Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, or similar positions involving design and implementation of technology solutions for maintaining competitive advantage for the organization through digital transformation strategies.
• Preference shall be given to candidates who possess proven record of achievements in the field of technology and change management at the senior management levels in the organizations of similar size.

AGE

• The candidate should preferably be not more than 55 years of age. However, age relaxation may be given in suitable cases.
